Leaked Photo Proves New DJI FPV drone with Gimbal

Another Twitter leak showcases the new DJI FPV drone does include a gimbal, even obstacle avoidance.

It wasn't long ago that we told you to expect the DJI FPV drone. (September) It wasn't long ago we told you that the new DJI FPV drone would have a gimbal.  It was last week we even mentioned how this new gimbal on an FPV drone could fundamentally change the way that pilots learn to FLY FPV.

Predictions from the Drone U Flight Crew ended up being correct and proven true today.  As our favorite DJI employee leaks another photo like clockwork.  The pattern of leaks continues to showcase that drone pilots might see this drone by the end of the year. In fact, DJI's marketing patterns may even indicate to expect this drone by the holiday season.

DJI FPV Drone with Gimbal and Obstacle Avoidance

Today's new crispy clean leak showcases that the DJI FPV drone has so many more features that we would expect from an FPV drone.  Drone pilots are already excited for an FPV drone package.  An FPV drone that comes as a complete kit with remote, batteries and bulletproof frame. (Because FPV crashes a lot!)

This leak makes it clear that the FPV drone by DJI is not just a complete kit, but a total hybrid drone.  The drone looks like they smashed together a DJI spark and a new FPV drone.  This powerful package, we imagine, would sell very well.  When DJI makes taking flight easier, as they have in the past, more minds discover the joy of flight.

The leak also showcases obstacle avoidance sensors.  Most FPV drones we know of, do not have obstacle avoidance by any means.  In fact this is actually a total derailment from the definition of FPV drones.  When you hit something with FPV, its a glorious and awful crash.  We have never seen obstacle avoidance on a true FPV drone.

DJI FPV drone with Smart Batteries?

We also have never seen smart batteries on an FPV drone.  As a drone pilot having flown now for over a decade, words cannot express my excitement for smart batteries on an FPV drone.  There are so many things to worry about in this world, but for some reason nightmares of my house burning down rise to the top.  FPV drone batteries are notoriously volatile.  When DJI launches this new FPV drone, the best feature may be a smart battery.  Pilots will have more consistent flight experience.
