Our question today comes from Pierre in Oregon, who is looking to turn his passion into profit. So he’s asking us what are some ways he can get his drone services out there and pick up more clients? Once again, we have another great question, and one we have quite a bit of experience and knowledge in. So stand by as we answer your question, Pierre, and thanks for submitting it!

In this week’s webinar we are going to discuss in depth the legal premise of a 333 exemption. Do you really need a 333 exemption to make money with your drone? We will give you the legalities behind the 333, and we will also show you why this exemption may be significantly flawed. Even though the FAA just released news stating that all 333 exemption holders may fly under 200 feet AGL, will this help the cause for more 333 exemptions? The rug could be swept from under the FAA’s feet with new proposed rules from Senator Booker. Learn why drone commercialization is in a “grey area,” and get the information you need to know.
Why You Should Watch:
The chat alone may be worth watching the webinar as we had a very active and participatory group. They got all their questions answered regarding this very important subject. Do you believe you need to have a 333 exemption in order to “legally” fly your drone for money, as a business? If you do then you need to watch this webinar because we went into all the details regarding why this is not really the case, despite what everyone else out there is telling you.

Our question today comes from Jim in Indiana. He is asking us when traveling with my drone, what’s the best case for it, and should I check it if flying? This is a question we are being asked more and more by students as taking their drone with them is becoming not only more popular, but almost just a given. So we go through all the details for you, Jim, and our many listeners. Stay tuned…

After an hour long interview with an expert drone Attorney, we we’re a bit taken back by several of the “hidden traps” in the FAA proposed rules. So much so that we realized we’d better do a webinar about it so we can keep you informed of the latest realities during the feedback period. At first glance the new proposed rules looked like a step in the right direction. But there are actually several issues that could eliminate FPV flight for hobbyists, and create strict rules for commercial operators.
What can you do to help fight these potential major problems? We will go through everything we recently talked through with the expert drone Attorney and, more importantly, what we should be doing about it now before it’s too late. Do NOT miss this all important webinar, and come with your questions.
Why You Should Watch:
We went over the proposed FAA rules, including the problems and dangers facing everyone from hobbyists to commercial operators, and even future students. NPRM107 has significant flaws that will impact everyone in this industry, and the problems with it run deep. For example, did you know that if these rules pass, you would need a letter from a foreign aviation authority just to register your DJI Inspire 1? That’s right…the rules as they are currently proposed would dictate that foreign manufacturers of vehicles would require you to obtain a letter from the foreign aviation authority stating the vehicle hasn’t been previously registered. This legislation is riddled with problems, and you better ensure you know all of them in order to educate the community and comment before it’s too late.

Our question today comes from Wesley. He recently got out of the military and is interested in getting UAVs. But he’d like to know if it’s even legal to get paid to fly your drone as a business. This is a great question and one that will get numerous answers because experts often see it differently. But we answer this question based on what we believe to be the best take on the debate, and based on actual experience in the matter. So stay tuned and tell us what you think about our response. Thanks for the question, Wesley, and we sincerely thank you for your service to our country.

This weeks webinar will highlight the importance of weather based information when flying your drone. We will thoroughly address how different conditions can affect your drones performance, directly impacting the vital needed skills to control your rig properly. What impacts will convective currents, barometric pressure and ferromagnetic interference have on your drone? When and where are they most likely to occur? What do you need to know in order to properly manage these things? Why should you care? If you want to limit your liability and dramatically reduce the risk of an accident, you will want to be sure and join us for this weekly webinar.
Why You Should Watch:
We actually covered a bunch of ground as we addressed the many different conditions that can affect the flight of your drone. This is a great webinar to watch if you’re either unsure of the potential hazards these “things” can cause, or if you continue to see inconsistencies in your flying that may be occurring due to various weather or climate related items. Regardless, you’ll come out of this webinar with a much better understanding of natural occurrences that can drastically impact your drones performance, and your control over it.

Our question today is our first ever question from a female pilot. Her name is Tammy, and she is from NoCal (sorry, Paul, it’s NoCal, not NorCal). She is asking us why her battery lasts longer in lower elevations vs. higher ones? Paul goes into great detail as to not only why, but the how behind it all. So stay tuned and enjoy the show.
