In today’s show we discuss the rules for flying your drone in a national forest area. Do you need a commercial permit to do so? Will forest service go after pilots who fly without a permit?

Paul is joined by everyone’s favorite, Vic Moss. Vic was recently contacted by a drone pilot from North Carolina who received a warning from the forest department. Why? Because he flew without a commercial permit over a wilderness area.

How do forest service areas differ from wilderness areas? And, do you really need a commercial permit for flying your drone over a wilderness area? Does the US Forest Service still adhere to the Tidwell memo?
