Today’s question is about FPV flying. Are there any serious consequences for illegal FPV pilots who break the law?
Our caller for today, Bryan has a question about FPV flying. Many FPV pilots are flying without proper registration and with little regard for the law. Specifically, prominent YouTubers are recklessly flying FPV drones to rack up more views. Is the FAA or FSDO likely to enforce action against such illegal drone pilots?
We all know that a Part 107 license is necessary for flying commercially in normal mode. In this show, listeners will learn if Part 107 rules apply to FPV flying as well. Does FPV flying endanger airspace safety? And, will FPV pilots face any serious repercussions if they do not follow Part 107 rules? We discuss all this and much more in today’s show. Tune in to learn more!
Thanks for the great question, Bryan. Fly Safe!
