Which Is the Best Drone for Filming Soccer Practice?

Today’s question is, surprisingly, about soccer practice. More specifically, what is the best drone to buy if you want to film soccer practices or similar activities? And, what safety measures do you need to consider for such applications?

Our caller, Steve, a college soccer coach is a complete novice when it comes to drones. Steve is keen on purchasing a drone with a good camera and decent flying time. So what’s the best option for Steve? Is it the versatile Mavic 2 Enterprise, the Inspire 2, or the Phantom 4 Pro? In this episode, we discuss the pros & cons of each model before determining the best one.

We also make some suggestions that will help Steve fly safely, and without violating any laws. How can Steve ensure that he complies with the FAA’s flying-over-people rule? Does the recent Reauthorization Bill place greater restrictions on such drone applications? Is it a good idea to have an in-house drone team? For all this and much more, tune in to our latest show. Thanks for the great question, Steve. Fly safe!
