How to expedite LAANC approval
Today’s show is about getting LAANC. With LAANC approval becoming increasingly difficult, how can you get the necessary permission to fly your drone, and complete your job?
Our caller for today, Anthony has pointed out an issue that many ADU listeners are grappling with. Our caller, a Part 107 pilot is frustrated with his inability to get LAANC approval to fly in Class E airspace. And with his last 3 LAANC requests timing out, Anthony is unsure about what to do next.
As per the recent changes to recreational drone laws, hobby pilots now need LAANC authorization to fly in controlled airspace. Has this led to longer approval times, and possibility request timeouts? Has LAANC approval become more difficult in zero grid airspace and other low-ceiling areas?
